The Pacemaker 30
Sportfisherman is a good-looking boat with a still-modern profile
and comfortable accommodations below. She was offered with
or without the lower helm station, which came at the expense of
one of the salon settees. Both floorplans have the galley
and head aft in the salon where access from the cockpit is the
most convenient. The Pacemaker 30 Sportfisherman proved to
be a popular design over the years due to her clean lines and
affordable price. A competent sportfishing boat, her large
cockpit should easily satisfy the requirements of most weekend
anglers. In 1978, Pacemaker engineers combined the flybridge
into the deck/cabin mold thus making the bridge an integral part
of the superstructure. Standard 225hp Chryslers cruise at
20-21mph, and the top speed is around 31mph. Note that the
Pacemaker 31 Convertible (introduced by the new Pacemaker Yachts
in 1988 and no relation to the old Pacemaker company) uses the
same Pacemaker 30 tooling, but includes several modern updates and
design improvments.
